Plymouth Prowler Hot Rods
It is a “retro” design sports car produced by the American manufacturer Chrysler and DaimlerChrysler in 1997, and from 1999 to 2002, since no Prowler unit was manufactured in 1998.
Inspired by the cars of the late thirties, it was one of Chrysler’s big surprises in the late 90s, along with the Dodge Viper, they were the starting point for the biggest retro trend in the history of cars from Street.

It has a 3.5-liter displacement EGJ V6 petrol engine and 211 HP (160 kW) maximum power. In the 1999 model year, the engine was modified to reach 250 HP (189 kW). Both engines are coupled to a four-speed “Autostick” automatic gearbox.

The prowler was shaped like an arrow and its rear was located much higher than the front. Its rear tires were 20 inches, and it was wrapped in 295 mm section tires. The car exuded stylistic lust for all its pores. Its design was truly risky, at a time when all the cars also seemed cut by the same pattern. Extremely clean lines for a very organic behind, very retro.
As his trunk was very small, small trailers were sold that mimicked the back of the Prowler painted the same color and same tires. In the early 1990s the Chrysler Group sponsored a design program at the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena (California). Gale to carry out a project that many other companies would have even dared to undertake.
