This Article is all about How to Replace a Car Battery for Old Classic Cars
A car battery is an essential part of a vehicle that can be recharged, with high electrical capacity. We have to remove and repair the battery for various reasons. But there is a certain way to do it. Otherwise, there may be a number of dangerous situations, such as sparking, battery explosion.
As the battery is in high electrical capacity, the battery contains a variety of acid-hazardous things. Therefore, before the battery is removed, the following safety measures must be prepared. That is,
1- Turn off the electrical system.
2 – wearing protective clothing from goggles.
3 – Hand glouse and a pair of pants.
First you need to find the negative terminal of the battery. Usually it is connected to the black color cable. Also, a small (-) mark indicates it on the battery.
Now connect the cable that is attached to the negative terminal, first of all, fit a key (often 10 or 11) to the battery bolt on the battery’s pin. You can easily save it by picking up and tipping up the tips of the tips. But never touch the battery of the battery.
Next, rescue the same console from the same way. After removing it, do not put it into any metal part of the vehicle. Because if you get out of the battery, there is some electricity in the electrical system. If the positive terminal touches the metal part of the vehicle, it will complete an electric circuit and damage other circuit of the vehicle.
Now you can do the maintenance required in the vehicle. If you put a new battery in the car, it can also be done by following the steps below.
Installing a new battery
After resetting battery cables, loosely fasten the battery with the battery. Then remove the crate and lift the battery with its handles and lift it up. Usually weigh about 15 pounds [15 kg] of battery. So help someone else’s help.
Now, before installing a new battery, clean the wipe with a battery brush and a wetted baking soda mixture with battery cables. Wastes and rusts bound therein will be removed.
Next, replace the new battery properly with the proper attachment to the earthing plug, and then restore the crate.
Now, first, consolidate the positive terminal, and then the negative terminal (when the first is removed). Press and hold the keys to remain idle.
Now close the bonnet and make sure the horn is ringing and make sure the battery is properly fixed.
Why is the negative peak being stored first?
The negative terminal of the car’s battery is directly connected to the car’s bracket. Imagine trying to get rid of the positive terminal while the vehicle is connected to the negative terminal. Imagine that some piece of metal is attached to it when it is connected to the positive terminal in its salvation.
Then the positive negative circuit will be complete and there will be spark. But if the car is disconnected by the negative end, the key is also added to the positive terminal, and the other metal part of the vehicle is simultaneously applied, but there is no spark plug in the circuit.
